As you can tell dissapointments for children can just be the fact that you missed our call. Thankfully we tried later and she was there. And of course, he only talked to her for 5 min and done. He was off to play somewhere else. Kids.
It was so cute to see him so into it, with serious face and all. Just like washing dishes, folding clothes is fun for him, not that I really ever asked but I am sure encouraging his desire to help on this kind of noble tasks.
Benjamin fell asleep on our way home, so we brought him with stroller and all and kept napping while my little Cinderella finished folding clothes.
So, after few views we are sure it wasn't his fingers.. Samuel was excited. Jay asked him what should we name him.. he said "Benjamin", so the rest of the time Jay spent it arguing with Samuel that we already had a Benjamin, and why not to repeat the name.. Samuel still doesn't give up and wants an exact Benjamin.. "crazy Benjamin" to be accurate.
I have to say though, I am truly ready for another boy, not just clothes wise, but even toys wise so.. just keep growning (not too much though) and we will see you in 150 more days!
When I was pregnant with Samuel I had the feeling that we were gonna have only if not lots of boys.. so may be my feeling was right. I am glad baby is doing great and is healthy since I have been doing so much here I was afraid to hurt him.. So, we truly are on a mission to raise good righteous boys for all those wonderful girls and continue the gospel, gentlemen legacy in our family!
Then we surprised him with cake, gifts and cards for lunch.. Yes, cougar shorts.. Benjamin's reaction to the little Y.. "Cougars!"
And he asked a while ago for a water backpack.. here it is. Funny part is I am using it more without the water bag for a diaper bag.. 
And of course, the vanilla cake (from scratch) was delicious but got to have the ice cream. So he bought an ice cream sandwich from our friends who sell them and Samuel like it but Benjamin just couldnt get enough of it.
Although it was on a Wednesday we tried to remind daddy how special he is for us and how much we love them.. Feliz Cumpleanos daddy and many more!
So while Jay got ready (not as excited to get ready for his first day like Samuel) I told Samuel I was going to take some shots of him to remember his first day of school. And these are the poses I got.
Then I tried to film a little video, asking him about his expectations etc..
From the balcony we watched them walk away, and of course they blew us a sweet kiss good bye.
After lunch we went home and happily for me to see my boys teaching each other. Benjamin is being taking a lot of interest in vocabulary books with pictures and Samuel still likes them, so after each one having a book, Samuel decided to "read to him".
I couldn't catch the best of it but there is a few little moment I got. At first it was more of what Samuel was interested and asked me questions then he turned to his favorite page (sports) and then showed Benjamin each thing in it.Later, I got them spontaneously..
However, last Thursday the teacher told me that she noticed Samuel was showing signs "of more advanced in skills" so they look at his age and noticed he didn't just turned 3 but that he was getting closer to 4 in 4 months. So they decided to bump him up to the higher age class. Less girls and more boys.. but I personally think he was more comfortable with the girls since they were more friendly. Either way, he still loves school just as much as the first day. And even gets sad on the weekends when we tell him there is no school on Saturday of Sunday.. I hope his excitement for school continues for a long time.
5 years and the couple still hitched..
Time flies as usual, and on Friday, Jay and I had our 5th anniversary! I made him some heart shaped pancakes with eggs and sausage. Samuel and him left to school. Saw them for lunch, which we ate left over beans, rice and platano. He left to more studying, while I let the kids play in the playground then back to our way home. Stopped at the Annex (near school building to our house) to fill up 6 bottles of water and home to play and read for the rest of the afternoon. Got kids ready with bath and pj's and our good friend Sonika came at 6:30 pm to watch them and put them to bed while we went to see a movie on campus (Sherlock Homes, really enjoy it... except how fast the spoke British English leaving me in the limbo quite a few times..), got a treat and back home at 9:30pm and to bed. It wasn't anything different than date night.. But what was different, was the feeling of looking at your sweetheart and remember how many adventures you have been together for the last 5 years. Travel, families, moves, 3 cars, two and a half children, and still cant say we are settle but still in love for one another. When people ask Jay what did I see in him, he usually says "my money, and my butt". We all know he had no money, just was recovering from a car wreck, which left him car less (too bad I didn't meet that other love of his life, the Cadillac the his grandfather left him before he died, where really the money was put into all the sound system, etc..), looking like a poor hang over dude with all kinds of bruises and no motivation to start that fall semester in 2004. He literally did not let me go after we started dating. And if it wasn't for that I wouldn't have married him.

Then, as Jay started talking about marriage.. I chickened out.. and after a week of not seeing him, met him at a football game (where our first date was too..) and answered an unsaid question.. And he accepted my answer!
After very dragging 6 months of engagement.. we got sealed at 10am on a Saturday morning at the Salt Lake City, UT temple. Did I mentioned I was 45 minutes late, which make him think I had cold feet.. but really, it was a hair problem where I had hair rolls stuck on my head for that much and almost had to cut my hair to get them out? He didn't by my excuse though.. But my mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and best friend can tell you it is true.
later we did other trips. And kept the fun and loving moments to give a sweet kiss...
Once married, other fun filled our lives. We showed more of our true selves..
But that didn't scared us, just made us be more in love.
But then, it is better to parents.. and act like grown ups.. 
After all, our family is the most important we have and that is no change at all.. 
Today, living in a beautiful island in the middle of the Caribbean, still with our growing family, I am sooo thankful Heavenly Father allowed me to meet the man when I did and have covenant for an eternity by his side. I love the gospel and how much we both can grow everyday when we stay close to the Lord, allowing him to be a very important part in our marriage. We are still learning from each other and trying to be better spouses, parents and friends.

Finally, we made it to Newark at 9:30pm and overnighted there. My youngest aunt from my mom side lives 15 minutes away from that airport. So, nicely she let us stay with her and her family who I hadnt seen in 10 years.. when I stopped there on my way to UT as an exchange student in August 2000. Yes, it had been a while. Her children Santiago and Sarah, were not babies but already 13 and 11. I was sooo tired that I forgot to take any picture.. or video.. is that sooo bad? I am still mad at myself.. My aunt took some pictures.. so whenever she emails them to me I will post them. They loved playing with Samuel and Benjamin.. Besides, they had delicious Brazilian food for us.. yum yum.. Jay and I ate seconds.. We were very glad to have stayed with them. Very hospitable and great quick visit.
Next morning, as usual Samuel pooped on his night diaper as soon as he woke up. I noticed it really stunk.. but our surprise was to see the awfull diarrhea the little had. I still think it was the pepperoni they gave us as snack on the plane. Jay adviced me to leave him in a diaper. As usual, I disagreed and said he was probably done and would be ok on underware. We got to the security check point with both kids on the stroller and ready to take off shoes, etc.. well, Samuel says. "Mami, my tummy hurts" and as I looked, he is with a sad face sitting on a little paddle of very runny diarrhea again.. yes, very stressfull stinky situation. I tried changing him over plastic bags on the side but people started complaining.. so Jay took him (lifting him the whole way) to the bathroom, while I move all our stuff to the side and kept trying to keep Benjamin's hands from touching it.. They got back (Samuel on a diaper) and I cleaned the mess the best I could. Then, went throught the security check point and Jay's shorts decided to ring the security alarm. So they had to pull him aside check his carry on etc.. while we waited on the stinky stroller.. Then, our flight was delayed again.. just half hour though. Finally, we made it to the plane and off we go to Antigua. On this flight we all slept, since on the one before only Samuel did and Benjamin was as wild as I have never seen him.
eWe made it to Dominica!!! but with two delays we got there 1 hr and a half later than planned so by the time we did immigration and got our bugs and stinky stroller on a van it was getting close to dark. Samuel was excited to look out the window, since he remembered last time seeing all the palm trees, coconuts, cows.. The poor thingdidnt make it 10 minutes into the 45 minute drive and just fell asleep. So did Benjamin. 
Finally, we made and a couple of hours later, our Church friends brought all our stuff that we had left and nicely they kept for us (THANK YOU SINDY AND MIKE) including the little high chair and pack and play. Next day, was unpacking and organizing day.. well couple of days anyways. But is was worth it to pack all the stuff I did on our suitcases. This upper right picture shoes all of the kids and I stuff that came out of them. Of course, Jay's closet looks so empty compared to ours. The funny part is that he the one staying here the whole time... 
Everybody asks me about our apartment. We love it! If there was one thing to change would be the stairs.. but everything else is great. Here is a little tour-video of our place.
Earlier that week we went to the Omaha Zoo, which is one of the largest in the US. Samuel's favorite exhibition is the monkey one.. although I caught some others monkeying around..
The kids really got interested on the big ones.. maybe because the were for the most part still, and next to the window and so you could really get up close and look at them in the eyes..
Near there, was a pretty water fall where we tried to take a family picture. The kids seemed to really not want to look at the camera..
Petting zoo.. I loved this part. Especially, knowing how much Benjamin likes to touch animals I was wondering how he would react.. it was hilarious! Once he chose a goat to follow wouldn't leave it alone.. unless there was a chicken walking by. 
Statue time.. they have some animals statues throughout the zoo for pictures.. and some of their flowers where blooming too.. pretty sites.
The aquarium was the funniest by far. The kids enjoyed looking at fish, penguins, turtles, sharks, etc.. 
The funniest part was when Benjamin decided to run towards the glass in the tropical exhibition where it had half water with piranhas and other big fish, and the rest on surface where small monkeys. I was soo sad I wasn't filming because he almost got knocked out hitting his head against the glass.. so much he bounced back to the floor and just looked clueless for an instant.
Near, there is a bridge with monkeys in smalls islands across the water (but weren't there because is wasn't warm enough for them yet) and the rest of the water was shared between Japanese fish and swams.. which you can feed them from the bridge and watch them got crazy.
At the entrance of the zoo and throughout it there are some peacocks running around. It seemed to be maiding season because all the males in different locations where doing their feather dance and purring sound.. 
The females however were not very impressed..
This time, Benjamin went by himself for the first time on the slide.. he did very good but then he got too confident and poor thing, got a sore bottom on the next try..
